Alcohol & Challenge 25 Policy
1. Our Commitment
Evermore Gifting Ltd is committed to upholding the licensing objectives set out under the Licensing Act 2003, in particular the protection of children from harm.
Alcohol will only be supplied to persons aged 18 years or over.
2. Alcohol Within Evermore Gift Plans
Some Evermore hamper configurations may include alcohol as an optional element.
Alcohol is not automatically included in all hampers and is selected either:
• Following an online purchase, during direct consultation with the customer; or
• During a telephone or email order placed directly with Evermore.
Where alcohol is selected as part of a hamper, Evermore will verify that:
• The purchaser is aged 18 or over; and
• The intended recipient is aged 18 or over.
Evermore will confirm the date of birth of both the purchaser and the recipient before alcohol is supplied.
Alcohol will not be included in any order where age requirements are not satisfied.
3. Challenge 25 Policy
Evermore operates a Challenge 25 policy.
If a person appears to be under the age of 25, valid photographic identification may be required to confirm that they are aged 18 or over before alcohol is supplied.
Acceptable forms of identification include:
• A valid passport
• A UK photocard driving licence
• A recognised PASS-approved proof of age card
If satisfactory identification cannot be provided, alcohol will not be supplied.
4. Delivery of Alcohol
Deliveries containing alcohol may require proof of age upon delivery.
Where appropriate, Evermore will use delivery services that operate age-verified delivery procedures.
If valid identification cannot be provided when requested, the alcohol element of the order may be withheld.
5. Refusals & Record Keeping
Evermore maintains a refusals and challenge log to record occasions where alcohol is refused or identification is requested.
This log is retained as part of our due diligence procedures and may be made available to relevant authorities upon request.
6. Staff Training
All relevant staff involved in the sale or supply of alcohol receive appropriate training in relation to:
• Age-restricted sales
• The Challenge 25 policy
• Company procedures relating to alcohol supply
Training records are maintained and updated as required.
